The ingredients for CASTELLI cycling clothing are: performance, sportiness, innovation and a great design. This premium brand is the first choice for performance-oriented cyclists with high demands. The roots of the Castelli company go back to 1876 in the heart of Milan, to a tailor named “Vittore Gianni”. Over the years, Vittore Gianni dressed the AC Milan team and the Milan Ballet. From 1910 onwards, the first products for cyclists were added, which were also worn by five-time world champion Alfredo Binda. Maurizio Castelli was born in 1948 and grew up in constant contact with the world of cycling. His father, Amando Castelli, worked for Vittore Gianni and eventually took over his company in 1939. Maurizio followed the competitions of the legendary Fausto Coppi, a close friend of his father. Coppi wears Vittore Gianni's clothing, such as the first silk bodysuit for time trials. After a short but promising career in cycling, Maurizio founded his own brand in 1974, which began a long series of innovations. The Castelli brand takes off.
